Radiolaria

The Radiolarian cannot be seen by the naked eye, yet it exists. An intricate, central capsule with radiating projections, echoing familiar silhouettes in my mind's eye – an animal's face, a human profile, or the bare branches of a tree overlapped against the winter sky. It is a wonder to be inspired by something so small and nearly invisible.
